Dr. Gromko has had an interest in health care for as long as she can remember.
She has operated her private medical practice on Queen Anne for 30 years. Linda also continues to expand her aesthetic services.
2020 is a year to really take advantage of all we have to offer. Our practice nearly doubled its office space last year and added staff. We are providing a new array of services to help you look and feel your best.
Linda earned both a Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Nursing from the University of Washington. She has done bedside patient care and worked as a Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Educator at Planned Parenthood prior to enrolling in the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Gromko completed a residency in family medicine also at the University of Washington in 1987. Before establishing her independent practice, Linda served as an emergency room physician and worked in a variety of women’s clinics.
Linda’s marriage in midlife took her into another area of medical exploration when her late husband fell abruptly into diabetic kidney failure. Having assisted with his home dialysis for several years before his death, Linda is zealous about the prevention of diabetes and its complications, and is a strong advocate for the use of home dialysis when dialysis is needed. She is known as a speaker in this area, and has written several books on her experiences. Her books, Complications: A Doctor’s Love Story, Let Me Go When the Banter Stops: A Doctor’s Fight for the Love of Her Life, and Arranging Your Life When Dialysis Comes Home: The Underwear Factor (co-authored with Jane C. Linda has served the transgender and gender non-conforming population since 1998.
She is the author of the award-winning book, Where’s MY Book? A Guide for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth, Their Parents & Everyone Else available on Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle.
Linda is a frequent speaker in the area of transgender health for both medical and non-medical audiences.
