What is Laser?

Laser is FDA cleared for permanent hair reduction. Our Vectus laser has two Laser attachments – one large, one small. Positioning the laser attachment on the skin, laser light (single wave length) is then released into the skin – targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicles. It is most effective on brown or black hair. The Vectus laser is very rapid, and can theoretically treat the entire body in about two hours. (It takes us longer, because we apply skin moisturizing lotion as we go.) Virtually any area of the body can be treated with Laser Hair Reduction.

Your Comfort

For many people, laser is accomplished with minimal – if any – discomfort. But others do experience pain, particularly when we are working in sensitive areas. Numbing cream can be used in any area commonly undergoing laser. We offer prescription strength topical anesthesia applied in our office 30-60 minutes prior to your treatment at no additional charge. (Naturally, you may not use this if you are allergic to lidocaine or other components.) Or for a small fee, a dental block or injected anesthesia may be administered. If needed – and there are no medical contraindications – oral pain and/or anxiety medications can be prescribed. It is essential that you have a driver for a safe trip home.

What about cost?

Laser treatments range from $100 to $1200 per session – depending on the area(s) you wish to have treated. Most clients require 6 treatments for maximal clearing. We offer a Laser Package: six treatments for the price of five. Your best value is the “Nose to Toes” treatment, which includes the entire body with the exception of the genital area. Note that we do do genital laser, including preparation for Gender Affirming Surgery. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and major credit or debit cards. If you believe your health insurance may cover laser hair reduction, we will give you a receipt for you to submit to the insurance company. We may be able to bill your insurance company directly.

You may want to ask about CareCredit at your consultation.
